| BMPA May 2008 Minutes
The May meeting was called to order at 6:15 pm by Gailen Hudson. Minutes accepted as read with change from pint to point. The treasurer’s report was given by Marge Shore with 1002.52. Treasurer’s report was accepted as reported. New Business: Kelley reported that she had received a call from the organizer of the Bentonville Farmers Market stating, Saturday the 17th they were going to feature clay products at the market and that BMPA and FRC was invited to promote the club, Empty Bowls and to also show some of their work. David would be doing throwing demonstrations and we could have a table set up for the public to paint bowls. There were four members who volunteered their time to help for the morning. Shirley Miller reported that she had checked with the Clarion, Fayetteville, about the possibility of using that facility for a spring sale. She station that a room 25x46 could be rented for $95.00/day and that all food must be purchased from the hotel. The Clarion will provide all tables for the event. Kelley suggested that since Jerry Faulkner was heading up the Advertising committee, that she, Shirley Miller and Shirley VanHorn meet at the Clarion to check everything out further. Motion was made and seconded and passed. Martha Molina briefed everyone about a sale in Pocahontas, AR. The last weekend of June. Andrea briefed that Karen Freeman will do the program for the June meeting. Kelley also stated that on Friday nights, FRC would have a happy hour from 5-7, with open studio or just sitting around comparing notes. It is a BYOB event, if so desired. Shirley VanHorn won the food raffle, and will provide a piece of pottery for the next meeting. No Old business discussed. Meeting was closed at 7pm and Mike and Becky Johnson told everyone of their great experience on Vancouver Island the summer of 2007 attending some great classes. Shirley VanHorn, Secretary
